I've read and enjoyed all of Marian Keyes's books and couldn't wait to get my hands on her latest work Sushi for Beginners.

Keyes has delivered the goods once again in this hilarious, touching tale of three women heading for nervous breakdowns in their struggles with inner demons.

Beautiful Clodagh appears to have it all with her gorgeous, wealthy husband, two children and a magnificent home. But she is bored and desperate to escape.

Hard-nosed London magazine editor Lisa is devastated at being sent to Dublin to start up Colleen magazine. She wanted to go to New York and, with a divorce hanging over her head, is a force to be reckoned with.

Ashling, also known as "Miss Fix-it", comes on board as assistant editor while struggling with her own insecurities and lack of a waist.

Mix in a ruggedly handsome boss, a freckle-faced comedian and some quirky friends. Add a dash of romance, sex, infidelity, disappointment and a little happiness and you have a great read.

Keyes truly gets down to the nitty gritty of real-life people. No cardboard cut-outs here. Her delightfully colourful characters have obsessions, idiosyncrasies and bad habits just like the rest of us.

Buy it, read it and then read it again. You won't be able to help yourself.
