Sushi for Beginners is Marion Keyes' fifth book. Set in Dublin where they drink a lot, swear a lot and never stop talking, this book explores the lives and relationships of three women. Sharp, funny and written it in the same genre of her other novels, Sushi for Beginners embodies the glossy world of fashion magazines.

The ruthless, bitchy, fashion magazine world of London makes way for the nave and friendly face of Dublin scene. Magazine Editor Lisa Edwards a hard and ambitious woman thinks her life is over when she is deported to Dublin. Her new assistant Ashling Kennedy with no waist, no boyfriend and a world class worrier feels that she is living in hibernation. Clodagh Kelly has it all. Beauty, a handsome successful husband and two beautiful children wants to taste a more adventurous flavour.

As the three women interact, the underlying tensions in their lives become unravelled.

Sushi for Beginners is a pacy book. Although this is Keyes fifth, she loses none of the magic displayed in her early novels. A highly recommended read.
